The John Ellis party of 15 joined us again this year at Sailfish Bay.
Gypsy released 3 sailfish on fly.
Stragos released 6 sailfish conventional.
Conga released 3 sailfish conventional.
Tranquility released 5 sailfish on fly.
Piragua released 1 sailfish conventional and 1 on fly.
Gypsy released 1 300 lb. Black marlin.
Stragos released 4 sailfish conventional.
Conga released 9 sailfish conventional.
Man O War released 4 sailfish conventional.
Several large dorado ranging from 25 - 35 lbs were also caught by the group over their 2 days of fishing.
April 4 - 7
Ed & Janet Bucknell joined us for their first visit to Sailfish Bay.
April 4: Gypsy released 17 sailfish conventional
April 5: Piragua released 20 sailfish conventional
April 6: Piragua released 3 sailfish conventional and 4 yellowfin tuna
April 7 - Gypsy released 4 sailfish conventional and two large dorado. Ed & Janet also released about 25-30 eight to ten lb dorado during the day as well.
April 9 - 11
Tim Osbourn, Chris Barton, Russ Ware, and Kelly Reich joined us for 3 days fishing.
Fishing has been between 40-50 miles offshore.
Inside of this the waters surface is hot (up to
91 degrees!). There has been a good marlin
bite the past several weeks and Gypsy released
a #450 blue this past month.
Dorado and yellow fin tuna have been caught,
usually when we locate a large group of

The Jay Neal group arrived for 3 days fishing at Sailfish Bay.
April 16 - Gypsy released 8 sailfish conventional.
April 17 - Gypsy released 21 sailfish conventional.
April 18 - Gypsy released 3 sailfish on fly and a 450# Blue Marlin.
April 25 - 27
Crispin and Bill Battles from Fly Fish America Magazine came to Sailfish Bay tackle sails on fly with their friend Larry.
April 25 - Gypsy released 6 sailfish on fly.
April 26 - Gypsy released 2 sailfish on fly.
April 27 - Gypsy released 1 sailfish on fly.

The Athan Sunderland group arrived with Athan, Don Schline, Eric Schline, Bob Elder, Ted Swingle, Brad Berzins, Matt Seward, Pat Monahan, Jamie Banwell, Richard Bornaman, and Jeff Burnell.
