March 1 - Don & Jim released 2 sailfish on fly aboard Maverick.

The Tom Shields group arrived at Sailfish Bay and also included Ron Yaros, Ken Versman, Steve Albright, Bob Crittenden, Chris Crittenden, Mark Wolfarth, Danny Benevides, Curt Stoddard, Bill Lyons, Dave Kikumoto, and Richard Yamada.

The Shields group released 2 sailfish on fly aboard Sirena, 2 conventional and 1 dorado on Piragua, and 2 sailfish conventional, 1 dorado and a 300 lb. Black marlin on Tranquility.

March 2 - Jim and Don released 2 sailfish on fly aboard Maverick.

The Shields group released 1 sailfish on fly aboard Sirena + 2 conventional, 1 sailfish conventional on Piragua, and 2 sailfish conventional on Tranquility along with 7 tuna that made for some nice sashimi for happy hour.

Also arriving to fish with us from The UK were Peter Taylor and Craig Turner. Their focus was sailfish on fly. Fishing aboard Ballena they released 2 sailfish on fly.

March 3 - The Shields group released 11 sailfish conventional on Piragua + a 400 lb. Blue marlin, 1 sailfish on fly and 2 conventional aboard Sirena, and 8 sailfish conventional on Tranquility.

Peter & Craig nailed 4 sailfish on fly aboard Ballena and 1 dorado.

March 4 - Peter & Craig released 2 sailfish on fly aboard Ballena and 1 50# bull dorado.

Well it only took Brian Wright 2 weeks to come back! He was just at Sailfish Bay in February. This time he arrived with his friends Norman Scott, Iain Young, and Scott Meneer. Fishing aboard Maverick they released 7 sailfish conventional.

John Brelsford arrived for his first trip to Sailfish Bay and brought with him Marcus Pignotte, Roger Sturdevant, Jeff Naito, Joe Sanders, Dave Christian, Steve Stonecipher, and Jeff Kroeker.

The Brelsford group released 12 sailfish conventional on Sirena, 5 sailfish conventional on Che Cito, 7 sailfish conventional on Tranquility and 1 sailfish on fly aboard Spindrift.

March 5 - The Brelsford group released 1 sailfish conventional and 1 sailfish on fly aboard Spindrift, 1 dorado on Che Cito, 0 sailfish on Sirena, and 0 sailfish on Tranquility.

The Scott Group had 0 releases fly fishing on Maverick.

March 6 - The Brelsford group released 0 sailfish on fly aboard Spindrift, 1 sailfish conventional on Che Cito, and 1 dorado on Tranquility.

The Scott group had 1 sailfish release and 1 dorado on fly aboard Maverick.

March 8 - Ron Solomon, Michael Gadd, Alan Rohweder, and Alan Amavisca arrived at Sailfish Bay. They had 0 releases on Spindrift.

Repeat client Pat Totaro was joined by Rob Ardigo. Fishing aboard Sirena they released 1 sailfish on fly and 1 sailfish conventional.

March 9 - The Totaro group had 2 sailfish releases on fly aboard Sirena.

The Solomon group has 0 releases on fly aboard Spindrift.

Jay Murray made his 4th visit to Sailfish Bay and brought with him Jimmy Rhodes, Carl Rhodes, Brian Rhodes, Scott Rhodes, Zane Christopher, Richard Marshall, and Tony Farrel. Fishing aboard Intensity and Ballena they released 0 sailfish.

March 10 - The Solomon group had 0 releases on fly aboard Spindrift.

Pat and Rob had 0 releases on fly aboard Sirena.

The Murray group released 3 sailfish conventional on Intensity plus a 250 lb. Blue marlin and 1 sailfish conventional on Ballena.

March 11 - The Murray group had 2 sailfish releases conventional aboard Ballena and another 300 lb. Blue marlin and 0 sailfish releases on Intensity.

Pat & Rob had 0 releases on fly aboard Sirena.

March 12 - Pat & Rob had 0 releases on fly aboard Sirena.

March 13 - 5 time repeat client Buck Nichols arrived with his group again this year that included so Dustin Nichols, Justin Triesch, Alberto Muzquiz, Jerrod McGlothlin, Charles Grohman, Michael McGlothlin, and Steven McGlothin.

Also arriving were Regan and Alfred Stringfellow.

The Nichols group released 8 sailfish conventional and 1 dorado on Che Cito and 3 sailfsih conventional on Maverick.

The Stringfellow's released 5 sailfish conventional on Ballena.

March 14 - The Nichols group released 4 sailfish conventional on Maverick and 2 sailfish conventional on Che Cito.

The Stringfellows released 9 sailfish conventional on Ballena.

March 15 - 5-time repeat client Dr. Jim Geshay returned with his annual group that included Fred Ruthardt, Jim Stambaugh, and Walter Lizza. The released 23 sailfish conventional on Sirena.

The Stringfellows released 4 sailfish conventional on Ballena.

Buck's group released 6 sailfish conventional on Mariner and 1 sailfish conventional on Che Cito.

March 16 - The Geshay group released 1 sailfish conventional on Ballena.

Two more groups arrived at SBL for 3 days of fishing. Kevin Bentley, Walter Hudson, Mark Taglieber, and Devaughn Pettit released 7 sailfish conventional on Che Cito and 1 tuna.

Pete Blackman, Mike Harahan, Mike Rosenfeld, Jim Albracht, and Tom Conden released 3 sailfish on fly aboard Sirena and 2 sailfish conventional on Tranquility.

March 17 - The Geshay group released 8 sailfish conventional on Ballena and 2 dorado.

The Bentley group released 5 sailfish conventional on Che Cito and 1 dorado.

The Blackman group released 3 sailfish on fly aboard Sirena and 1 wahoo.

March 18 - The Blackman group released 0 sailfish on fly aboard Sirena and 1 tuna.

The Bentley group released 0 sailfish on fly aboard Che Cito.

The George Brown party arrived at Sailfish Bay and also included Marilyn Brown, James and Jayne Ryan. Fishing aboard Maverick the group released 1 sailfish on fly.

March 19 - The Brown group released 1 sailfish on fly aboard Maverick and 2 dorado.

March 20 - The Brown group released 1 sailfish on fly aboard Maverick.

The Mike Driscoll group arrived on the coast that also included William Lewis, Joe and John Baumgardner. Fishing aboard Ballena they released 2 sailfish conventional.

March 21 - The Driscoll group released 10 sailfish conventional aboard Ballena and a 300 lb Blue Marlin.

Repeat clients Lewis Turner and Paul Higgins returned to Sailfish Bay and they were joined by Lee Higgins and John Dall. The released 1 sailfish on fly aboard Sirena and 2 sailfish on fly aboard Mariner.

March 22 - The Driscoll group released 7 sailfish conventional on Ballena.

The Turner group released 2 sailfish on fly aboard Sirena and 0 sailfish on fly aboard Mariner.

Repeat client Butch Barnhill returned to Sailfish Bay again this year with Bruce and Robert Shaw. Fishing aboard Maverick they released 5 sailfish conventional.

Also arriving on the coast were Jay and Ken Gurry. The released 6 sailfish on fly aboard Intensity.

March 23 - The Driscoll group released 8 sailfish conventional on Ballena.

The Turner group released 2 sailfish on fly aboard Mariner and 1 sailfish on fly aboard Sirena.

The Barnhill group released 9 sailfish conventional on Maverick.

The Gurry group released 3 sailfish on fly aboard Intensity.

March 24 - The Turner group released 5 sailfish on fly aboard Mariner and 2 sailfish on fly aboard Intensity.

The Barnhill group released 3 sailfish conventional on Maverick.

Cindy Phillips group released 14 sailfish conventional on Sirena.

Fishing is beginning to pick up BIG TIME and we are getting back to normal Guatemala numbers!

March 25 - Repeat clients Doug & Bobbi Boutilier returned to Sailfish Bay with Jim Burrington and Dan Nottingham. Fishing on Ballena they released 3 sailfish on fly with 16 raises.

Also arriving on the coast were Skip Pearlman, Harry Burton, Barry Campbell, and John McGuire. They released 2 sailfish on fly aboard Sirena with 23 raises and 2 sailfish on fly aboard Maverick with 15 raises.

March 26 - The Boutilier group released 6 sailfish on fly aboard Ballena with 36 raises.

The Pearlman group released 4 sailfish on fly aboard Sirena with 26 raises and 1 sailfish on Maverick with 15 raises.

March 27 - The Pearlman group released 5 sailfish on fly aboard Maverick with 30 raises and 5 sailfish on fly on Sirena with 30 raises as well.

Don Knox and Wood Dorsey arrived on the coast to tackle the hot sailfish bite. They released 16 sailfish conventional on Ballena.

March 28 - The Pearlman group released 5 sailfish on fly aboard Maverick with 26 raises and and 2 sailfishon fly on Sirena with 16 raises.

The Knox group released 5 sailfish on fly and a 250 lb Marlin conventional on Ballena.

Ron, Josh, and Matt Ritz arrived at Sailfish Bay and released 9 sailfish conventional on 29 raises aboard Piragua.

March 29 - The Knox group released 3 sailfish on fly and 2 conventional aboard Ballena.

The Ritz group released 12 sailfish conventional on Piragua.

March 30 - The Ritz group released 12 sailfish on Piragua.

Two more groups arrived for the HOT sailfish bite. Jim Skiver, Dan Matthews, Ernie McIlwain, and John Rees released 15 sailfish conventional on Ballena.

Repeat clients Julius Nagy, Ken Cordes, Dan Welch, and John Lauer returned to Sailfish Bay and released 20 sailfish conventional on Maverick with 33 raises and 18 sailfish on Sirena with 49 raises.

March 31 - The Skiver group released 13 sailfish conventional on Ballena with 38 raises.

The Nagy group released 23 sailfish conventional on Maverick with 33 raises and 24 sailfish conventional on Sirena with 34 raises.
